The management takes interpreter training seriously and they work with me before every event to make sure that we are all prepared to be as inclusive as possible of all our participants. When Rommy translates my writing to Spanish it sounds very professional and eloquent, and I am proud to disseminate the Spanish versions of all my blog posts to the Latine community in Kansas and my colleagues in Hispanic linguistics.’’

  • “Our organization has used Spanish Ad Hoc for multiple services, and they have been outstanding each time. Our students greatly enjoyed the Spanish language instruction they received during our Summer Academic Camp taught by Spanish Ad Hoc instructors.  They were able provide excellent instruction to both our heritage Spanish speaking students as well as those that were just starting to learning the language.  Spanish Ad Hoc was invaluable in helping us produce a cultural enrichment evening for our students and family as well.

Spanish Ad Hoc has also provide interpreting services for our student and parent orientation session.  Their ability to provide simultaneous interpretation worked seamlessly with our orientation presentation and was greatly appreciated by the Spanish speaking family members of our students.  Spanish Ad Hoc’s presence and service made all of our families feel welcomed, informed and comfortable asking questions.

I cannot recommend Spanish Ad Hoc highly enough, they have been an amazing resource for our program.”

— Travis Feeney, Assistant Director Upward Bound Wichita Prep Wichita State University

  • “My experience with Spanish Ad Hoc Translations was both professional and warm. Rommy and Erika made it very clear that they wanted to provide me with not just a literal translation of the requested copy, but a culturally relevant translation. They communicated well to ensure that they understood what my ultimate goals were, and made suggestions to help us move in those directions. The turn-around was very quick and the pricing was very reasonable for such excellent work. This felt like the beginning of a relationship, and not a transactional experience. The work that Spanish Ad Hoc provided made a huge difference in our ability to reach members of our community. Their caring, professional, and collaborative work is a service I would recommend to anyone!”

  • “For over 10 years, I have had the pleasure and privilege to work with Rommy Vargas- Beezubikoff and Erika Vargas on various community engagement projects including interpretations, translations, presentations and trainings. In my previous capacities in working in the private sector, I could always count on Rommy to quickly translate critically important public safety, civic engagement and health information with exceptional quality.   Several examples include having identified Rommy to serve as an excellent reliable vendor for Census 2020 translation services and health equity translations. Furthermore, it must be noted that translation and interpreting services are more than just translating. There is actual science involved and critically important cultural communications and competencies involved. As we pursue equity in many aspects, such as access to health care and language access, it is also equally important to have a professional who understands culture, who recognizes the nuances that can be gamechangers in how people are informed.

Now more than ever, we need translation professionals who not only understand the language, but can understand the cultures, and how best to cut through the noise and convey the most important information that can certainly affect a person and their family’s health, housing, education and so much more.

In addition, I have seen Rommy and Erika at community forums where they VOLUNTEER their time to remove language barriers so that all persons can understand the information they are receiving. For over one year, I’ve had the most distinct pleasure of working directly with Rommy and Erika on a collaborative partnership of providing critical health care information called ‘’Mi Salud Es Primero’’  (My Health Comes First), a grassroots effort of bringing the Latino community together to provide health forums and a free lunch at Evergreen Neighborhood Resource Center in north Wichita. These quarterly ‘’Mi Salud Es Primero’’ health forums have included presentations totally provided in Spanish featuring presentations on heart health, diabetes management, mental health and more.

The collaborative partnership has included Spanish Ad Hoc Translations, Ascension Via Christi - Wichita hospitals, Camarena Adelante Family Foundation, Radio Lobo, Salud + Bienestar a community organization embedded at Evergreen Neighborhood Resource Center. The fact that Rommy and Erika have consistently volunteered their time to serve as interpreters at these community forums on the weekends truly demonstrates their love for the community and servant heart leadership. I have the most respect and admiration for these translation practitioners who do much more than just translation. These women represent their passion, expertise and support of the community. As I continue to work with various stakeholders through my Garcia Group, LLC, I always promote the services of Spanish Ad Hoc Translations!.

As a member of the family who owns Wichita’s oldest family-owned Mexican restaurant, Connie’s Mexico Cafe, I have witnessed the hard work ethic that Rommy and Erika embody through their translation services business and the time they share through volunteering to make meaningful impacts for our community!”
